Lycoming is a modern, clean, safe,
undergraduate university with 1500 students. Our
students appreciate the friendly campus community, small class
sizes and the keen interest and personal attention they receive
from their professors. Fifteen international students are
currently enrolled at Lycoming. They come from Viet Nam, Germany, China,
Japan, India, Zambia, Russia, Ukraine, Nepal, Ghana, Sri Lanka,
Malaysia, Venezuela and several other countries.
Many of our international students
go on for further education--usually in doctoral or professional
programs. Presently, our international student graduates are
enrolled at Northwestern University in Chicago, Georgetown
University in Washington D.C., The University of Virginia, Penn
State University and the University of Pittsburgh.
Lycoming College is located in a
small city (35,000) in rural, north central Pennsylvania. By car
or bus, we are located less than four hours from New York City,
Washington D.C., Philadelphia and Baltimore. A regional airport
served by US Airways is five miles from campus. Winters in
northeast US can be cold (0° C) and sometimes snowy; summers are
warm and humid (30° C).
