A major in Religion at Lycoming College incorporates cultural,
linguistic, and clinical approaches to the area of study through courses
in philosophy, comparative religions, theology, and Christian ethics,
and through participation in the interdisciplinary major of Archaeology
and Culture of the Ancient Near East and the Biblical language
offerings. The curriculum of the Religion major emphasizes a breadth of
coverage in its discipline as well as the opportunity for concentrated
study in the literature or thought of a particular writer, historical
period, or religion.
