The Basic Algebra Test (Please review before Orientation Weekend) The Basic Algebra Test is designed to determine if you meet the College’s competency requirements in basic algebra. Every student must take this exam. In order to graduate, you must either pass this exam or successfully complete MATH 100. Since several other college courses have basic algebra as a prerequisite, your progress may be delayed in several areas if you do not fulfill this requirement quickly. Please take this exam seriously. The questions are multiple choice and the topics covered include decimals, fractions, the real number line, factoring, inequalities, solutions to linear and quadratic equations, graphs of linear and quadratic equations, and expressions with rational exponents.
