FRESHMEN
All freshmen, including students who will commute in the fall, are required to spend the first night of
their June Orientation on campus and will be assigned a room in Skeath Hall which they will share with another freshman. Students should pack bed linens and towels as well as a fan since our residence halls are not air-conditioned.
TRANSFER STUDENTS
Upperclass transfer and non-traditional students who need overnight housing will have the option of sharing a room in Skeath Hall or making their own reservation at a local hotel. Please notify the Office of the Assistant Dean for Freshmen before June 1 to request permission to stay off-campus during Orientation or if you do not require housing for Orientation.
PARENTS
During the June Orientation sessions, rooms on campus are also
available for parents who need overnight accommodations. Parents who
choose to spend the night on campus will be charged an additional
$25 fee per parent for lodging (payable at the time the student
registers for their June Orientation session.) Checks should be payable to Lycoming College and include the student’s name. Checks should be mailed
at the time of registration to:
Regina M. Collins
Assistant Dean for Freshmen
Lycoming College
700 College Place, Campus
Box 153
Williamsport, PA 17701
Parents should be advised that they will be assigned a private room with a shared bath in an upper class hall and will need to pack separately from their students. Linens will be provided for parents; however,
air conditioning is not available in any of our residence
halls so parents staying on campus should bring fans as well as
alarm clocks. Parents do have the option of making their own reservations at one of our local hotels and are encouraged to do so if they have any difficulty accessing stairs or prefer an air-conditioned room.
