Is 1st Weekend mandatory for all new students? |
|
Yes! All 1st Weekend sessions are mandatory for freshmen. |

Must all freshmen stay on campus for 1st Weekend? |
|
All residential students will be assigned to their permanent housing location for 1st Weekend. Commuter students are expected to commute from home but will be included in all activities and meals throughout the weekend. |

Can parents stay on campus? |
|
No. There is no additional housing available for parents during 1st Weekend. |
|

Are there other housing options available for parents? |
|
There is an extreme shortage of hotel rooms during this busy weekend in Williamsport and the immediate surrounding area. As parent programming will end by 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, parents are advised to return home at that time. |

How do I retake the math placement test? |
|
You can notify the Registrar of your intention to retake the math placement by calling 570-321-4145. The test will be scheduled for Sunday morning, August 26, 2007. If you did not purchase a review package from the Office of the Freshman Dean, you may still do so by calling 570-321-4358. |

When will I receive my ID card? |
|
If you had your picture taken at Orientation in June, you will receive your ID picture when you arrive on August 24, 2007. |

roommate assignment? |
|
Roommate assignments are mailed by the last week of
July. |

can I move into my room on campus? |
|
You may pick up your keys to your room in
Pennington Lounge AFTER you have checked in with the Assistant Dean for Freshmen on Friday, August 24, 2007. You should plan to arrive on campus between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and Noon. |

When do Fall athletes arrive on campus? |
|
Fall athletes will be notified by their respective coaches directly as to the day and time of their arrival. Athletes who arrive prior to August 24 will be excused from preseason training to join the freshman class for all 1st Weekend programming including the New Student Convocation Ceremony. |

Is it possible to change my schedule of classes? |
|
Yes, but you must see your advisor sometime during the first week of classes; together you can determine which classes still have available seats and which of those classes best meet your academic needs. |

When
do I purchase my textbooks? |
Students should wait to purchase textbooks until their final schedule of classes is available on WebAdvisor (August 20). If their fall tuition bill has been paid and all documentation for Health Services has been provided, students may charge their textbooks to their student account using their ID card on or after August 24.
The Streeter Bookstore is on the second floor of the Wertz Student Center and will be open for the sale of textbooks during the following hours:

Can freshmen bring cars to campus? |
|
Yes, as space allows, freshman will be permitted to bring cars to campus. All cars must be registered with a college parking permit at a cost of $60.00 per academic year. Permits may be purchased on Friday, August 24 at check-in; students must provide proof of ownership and insurance. Students may also pre-register by completing the vehicle registration form (available at
http://www.lycoming.edu/security/parking.htm)
and mailing this form with their check for $60.00 to:

When is my fall tuition bill due? |
|
The fall tuition bill is due Friday, August
3; failure to settle your account on time may result in the cancellation of your registration. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the college Bursar at 570-321-4032. |

How do I add money to the FLEX Dollar program? |
|
Money may be added to your FLEX account at any time by mailing a check ($25.00 minimum) to the Lycoming College Business Office. |
