Since his arrival at Lycoming College in January 2005, Andrew Kilpatrick has served as the Student Life Coordinator / Coordinator of the FYRST Program, Director of Residential Life and Conferences, and the Assistant Dean for Freshmen. On July 1, 2014, Andrew took up the post of Associate Dean of Student Success and Academic Services / Dean of First-Year Students. Although he works primarily with first-year students in support of their transition, integration into the community, and academic success, Dean Kilpatrick oversees the Department of Academic Services, which includes the Academic Resource Center and its Writing Center, Math Center, subject tutoring program, services for students with disabilities, and support for students on academic probation.
In the summer of 2014, at the request of President Trachte, and thanks to a generous gift from AT&T, Andrew created and directed a new program, Lycoming College Prep. This is a pre-collegiate two-week summer residential program aimed at introducing high-achieving rising high school seniors to the liberal arts, campus life, and Lycoming College.
Andrew graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1988 and went on to earn a B.A. (Philosophy and Theology) from the University of Scranton, an S.T.B. (Theology) from the Pontificia Universitas Gregoriana (Rome, Italy) and an S.T.L. (Moral Theology) from the Academia Alfonsiana (Rome, Italy). Prior to joining Lycoming College, Andrew lived in Italy for ten years, where he taught middle and high school and coached the girls’ and boys’ tennis teams at Marymount International School in Rome.
