Web Page Development Standards
Fonts to use:
bullet Titles -- Times Roman 6 (24 pt)
bullet Body Headings -- Ariel 2 (10 pt) bold
bullet Body Text -- Ariel 1 (8 pt)  or Ariel 2 (10pt)
bullet Include Links -- Verdana 1 (8 pt) bold

When inserting pictures and graphics, remember to resample.  The resample feature allows your a faster load when viewing web pages while maintaining a nice look.

File names:
 
bullet Only use alphanumeric characters, no spaces.
bullet On files that change from year to year give them a specific name that others can use to link to.  After the year is over with archive them with a date if needed. This saves changing links each year and reduces the chance of broken links popping up. Examples are Calendars, Final Exam Schedules, and  Commencement.

Official college pages use the main header and footers. Secondary pages may use the mini header like above.

Dynamic HTML features that have the page fading in, dropping in etc should not be used on Official college pages.
