Our Theatre Department alums have distinguished themselves all over the country and beyond in a variety of careers that utilize their training and experience at Lycoming. Others are pursuing advanced degrees. Here’s a snapshot of what some of our alums are doing today as well as accomplishments by our graduates in recent years.
Arielle Blanton '08 (Theatre Major) is a Resident Counselor at Transitional Services, Inc., in Buffalo, NY. She has performed in Hello, Dolly! and Suddenly, Last Summer with the Starry Night Theatre Company and in Annie Get Your Gun with the St. Stephen's Parish Players.
John Andzulis ’07 (Theatre Major) is the Technical Director of the Venice Theatre in Venice, FL. Previously, he served as Assistant Technical Director in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.
Luke Krauss ’07 (Theatre Major) founded his own freelance lighting company in 2008 called Grid Monkey Media Productions. He has also served as the ligthing designer for Park Ridge High School and Pascack Valley High School, both in New Jersey. In the summer of 2009, he will return again to the Mac-Haydn Theatre in Chatham, NY, as its sound designer.
Margaretann Mulcahey ’06 (Theatre Major) was Assistant Stage Manager for two Off Broadway productions.
Sarah Painter ’06 (Theatre Major) was an Admissions Counselor for Lycoming College in 2006-2007. Currently she is Admissions Coordinator at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. She recently performed with a local theatre company in Arthur Miller’s The Ride to Mount Morgan.
Terica Prater ’06 (Theatre Major) had a Company Management apprenticeship at the Prince Music Theater in Philadelphia during 2006-2007.
Jen Schilansky ’06 (Theatre Major) has performed with several theatres in upstate New York. Her productions include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Tony and Tina’s Wedding, and The Three Sisters. She was also Assistant Stage Manager for Play by Play: Desire Lines at Stage Works/Hudson.
Brian Sheehan ’06 (Theatre Major) currently lives in West Hollywood, CA, where he works on the staff of Variety as Features Coordinator.
Justine McCarthy ’05 (Theatre Major) is a 2008 graduate of the Arts Administration program at Montclair State University in New Jersey. She is a Development Associate with the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, NJ.
David Monti ’05 is (Theatre Major) is teaching at the Learning Center for Exceptional Children in NJ. He recently performed in The Full Monty and Doubt with the Bergen County Players in Oradell, NJ.
Sarah Virkler Craig ’04 (Theatre Major) is an Educator with the Georgia Shakespeare Festival in Atlanta. She has also performed with various theatres in the Atlanta area.
Kait Laret ’04 (Theatre Major) is a Training Coordinator at Planco, a subsidiary of The Hartford, in Wayne, PA.
Wes Speary ’04 (Theatre Major) recently completed a year-long internship at the Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea, MI. In the fall of 2007, he was an understudy in the production of Jeff Daniels’s Escanaba in Love at the Gem Theatre in Detroit.
Kathryn Botsford '03 (Theatre Major) is currently Scene Shope Foreperson at Syracuse Stage. Previously, she was the Technical Director of the national touring company of The Blue Ribbon Day, the play based on Katie Couric's children's book.
Destiny Zeiders ’03 (Theatre Major) is a Media Specialist and Research Analyst for the House Democratic Commerce Committee and Pennsylvania State Representative Peter Daley in Harrisburg. She most recently performed in Move Over Mrs. Markem.
Darren Michael Hengst '99 (Theatre Major) is a professional actor, teacher, and fight director in Philadelphia. Recent performances include roles in Born Yesterday, Candide, and Les Miserables; he also staged the fights in all three productions. Darren is a Teaching Artist in the Walnut Street Theatre's Education Department. He is a member of Actors' Equity Association and the Society of American Fight Directors.
Patrease Smith ’07 (Theatre Minor) is working in Philadelphia as an Admissions Counselor for the University of Phoenix.
Tom Courtney ’06 (Theatre Minor) is living in Tokyo, Japan, where he teaches English for the corporation World Family.
Lauren Dodds ’06 (Theatre Minor) is teaching theatre at Fallston High School in Maryland.
Lindsay Keller ’06 (Theatre Minor) completed an M.A. in English at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was recently accepted into its Student Affairs in Higher Education Program.
Bridget Leak ’05 (Theatre Minor) is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in Directing at the Actors Studio, Pace University, in New York City. During 2006-2007, Bridget was an intern at the Studio Theatre in Washington, DC.
Ann Ciccarelli Masters ’05 (Theatre Minor) is teaching English at Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, PA. She has also worked as Assistant Director for several musicals at the high school, including The Sound of Music.
