Dr. Stan Wilk, a professor of anthropology and sociology, began his career at Lycoming College in 1973. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh after conducting research on political factionalism in rural Mexico. He is the author of Humanistic Anthropology. In addition, he has published articles on shamanism, political identity, and cultural theory. Dr. Wilk, known around campus for his energy in the classroom, teaches courses in anthropology, sociology, socio-cultural theory, and human services.
