FACULTY AND STAFF: Meet Owen Herring

Department Chair & Assistant Professor
Professor Herring was an undergraduate at Wake Forest College and a graduate student at the University of North Carolina. He joined the Lycoming faculty in 1965, and it looks as if he will never retire. Currently his principal interests are ethical theory and philosophical issues in health care and in education. He has sometimes been chairman of the Lycoming faculty, and once he played golf. Except for bicycling and yard work, his off-campus life is relatively uninteresting.
