Lycoming business professor publishes paper
boydDr. Neil Boyd, assistant professor of business management at Lycoming College, recently had a paper accepted for publication in the "Organization Development Journal." The article, titled “Lessons for Managers and OD Professionals When Implementing Large-Scale Change,” disseminates findings from a five-year study of Gov. Tom Ridge’s administration in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Ridge administration was responsible for initiating the most comprehensive change management program in the history of the Commonwealth.

The results of Boyd’s work revealed three “infrastructures” that lay in the path of change, and the findings add important new insights to the literature on large-scale organizational change management. The article is expected to appear in the May 2008 issue of the "Organization Development Journal." A recent study found that the "Organization Development Journal" is now the most frequently cited organization development publication in the world.

Boyd conducts research and writes about various topics in the fields of organization development, action research, human resource management, organizational behavior and social and environmental issues in management.
