LYCOMING COLLEGE CONCERT BAND TO PERFORM AT
THE COMMUNITY ARTS CENTER

Lycoming College Concert Band will present a concert at the Community Arts Center Friday, November 16,
at 8:00 pm. band

Under the direction of Dr. William Ciabattari, Assistant Professor of Music at Lycoming, the band will present an eclectic program spanning many decades of music written for wind band.  Among the composers featured are Eric Whitacre, Samuel Hazo, Robert W. Smith, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Henry Fillmore, and David Gillingham.  The band will also premiere a piece by composer, Anthony Suter.  Suter's piece was co-commissioned by the Lycoming College Bands.

The Concert Band, an ensemble of approximately 50 members, is comprised of woodwind, brass, and percussion players.  The ensemble tours at the end of the spring semester. Membership is open to all campus students by audition.
