WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Dr. Neil Boyd, assistant professor of management in the department of business administration at Lycoming College, was recently recognized for his work with the Academy of Management (AOM). He was elected and served as a pre-conference workshop chair in 2008 and program chair for the Public and Non-Profit Division in 2009 for the AOM meetings in Chicago.
As a result of these recent roles and honors, Boyd will become the division chair for the Public and Non-Profit Division in 2011. The AOM is regarded as the preeminent society of management scholars in the world with more than 18,000 members.
Boyd earned a doctorate in public administration from Penn State University, a master’s degree in business administration from PSU, a master’s degree in experimental psychology from the University of Notre Dame, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bloomsburg University. Prior to his appointment at Lycoming in fall 2006, Boyd was on the faculty at PSU.
