Good Charlotte, a Sony BMG Music Entertainment recording artist, will perform at Lycoming College Friday, April 18 at 8 p.m., at the college’s recreation center. The concert is being sponsored by Lycoming’s Campus Activities Board (CAB).
Leading up to its performance at Lycoming, Good Charlotte will be on a major spring tour, performing in South Africa, Germany, Estonia, Finland, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Touring in support of its most recent CD titled, “Good Morning Revival,” which was released in 2007 as a follow up to its first three albums, “The Chronicles of Life and Death,” “The Young and the Hopeless” and its self-titled 2000 debut CD, Good Charlotte has already achieved great success in the industry. Its current album contains such notable singles as “The River,” “Dance Floor Anthem” and “Keep Your Hands Off My Girl.” There will likely be at least one opening act for this concert.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for Lycoming to continue its long tradition of bringing top national acts to campus,” said Larry Mannolini, Lycoming’s director of student programs. “We are very excited about this show and we hope that our students and members of the community will come out to enjoy a great concert from a truly outstanding band.”
CAB will offer one free ticket to each Lycoming student who has paid the College’s student activity fee, a practice that is extremely rare among colleges and universities that host major campus concerts. This concert is funded by the Student Senate of Lycoming College. Public ticket price will be $20. In addition to being able to purchase tickets at the College and charge by phone at the College’s ticket hotline, there will be several other ticket purchase locations in the Williamsport area. An announcement on where and when tickets will be available will be released in the near future.
