Lycoming College student receives international scholarship

Britta SpauldingWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Lycoming College senior Britta Spaulding, a resident of Webster, N.Y., has been awarded a 2009-10 German Academic Exchange Program undergraduate scholarship. This scholarship will include travel expenses to and from Germany, startup money and a monthly stipend. Spaulding is pursuing an archeology and art history double major with a biblical languages minor. She is a member of the Lycoming College Concert Band, United Campus Ministries and history club, to name a few.

The German Academic Exchange Service is dedicated to helping students, researchers and faculty in the U.S. and Canada study and research in Germany. It is a publicly-funded independent organization of higher education institutions in Germany. Its 14 international offices provide information as well as financial support to more than 50,000 highly-qualified students, researchers and faculty per year.
