WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Lycoming College will host a production of “The Yellow Wallpaper” on Saturday, April 18 at 8 p.m. at the Mary L. Welch Theatre. The play, sponsored by Lycoming’s Women’s and Gender Studies Program and Theatre Department, will be produced by the North Shore Theatre Group, based in Oyster Bay, N.Y. Admission is free and open to the public.

The one-woman play is based on a late 19th-century short story of the same name by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. The story chronicles the female narrator’s confinement to a room with patterned yellow wallpaper and her subsequent descent into insanity.

The show stars Annalisa Loeffler. It is directed by DeLisa M. White, with stage manager Charles Jeffreys and costume designer Jeanette Aultz Look, all of the North Shore Theatre Group.
