Eight Lycoming College students presented papers at Moravian College's third annual Undergraduate Conference in
Medieval and Early Modern Studies held Dec. 6 in Bethlehem, Pa.
Students delivered the following papers:
Denise Carlin, a senior history major from Buffalo, N.Y.: "Ruling and Religion in Medieval Spain"
Patrick Gardiner, a junior history major from Davidsonville, Md.: "Harold Godwinson in Normandy 1064: A New Look at Godwinson's Visit with William"
Matthew Koppenhaver, a philosophy and English-literature major from Bensalem, Pa.: "King Arthur, Star Wars, and The Lord of the Rings"
Kevin Lasko, a senior history and archaeology/culture of the ancient Near East major from Rockville, Md.: "Melding of Cultures: Anglo-Saxon Drinking Culture"
Kristina Manente, a senior history and archaeology/culture of the ancient Near East major from Middletown, Md.: "Robin Hood and the Social History of British Bandit Culture"
Amanda McGee, a senior history major from Williamsport, Pa.: "The Witch Hunts in Continental Europe, 1550-1700"
Tom Musser, a junior English-creative writing major from New Providence, Pa.: "Chivalry and 'Social Norms'"
