Six join Lycoming College alumni association board

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Six people have been elected to the Lycoming College Alumni Association Executive Board. The new members are Dr. Kimberly (Lazar) Bolig, James Burget, Dr. Joanne Hullings, Rev. Dr. Anders Lunt, Melany McGillvray and Kurt Weirich. Their terms begin in October.

Bolig resides in Winfield, Pa., and is the director of academic support services at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. A 1979 Lycoming graduate, she was a German major and a member of Alpha Phi Omega.

Burget resides in Cogan Station, Pa., and is a social studies teacher with the Williamsport Area School District. A 1972 Lycoming graduate, he was a political science major, member of Theta Chi and participated in track and wrestling.

Hullings resides in Bristol, Pa., and is an emergency medicine physician at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa. A 1979 Lycoming graduate, she was a Spanish major, founding sister of Beta Phi Gamma and participated in field hockey.

Lunt resides in Ellicott, Md., and is the lead pastor at Glen Mar United Methodist Church and adjunct faculty member at Wesley Theological Seminary. A 1966 Lycoming graduate, he was a religion major and a member of Theta Chi and the choir.

McGillvray resides in Fairfax, Va., and works for the Domestic Nuclear Detention Office of Homeland Security. A 2007 Lycoming graduate, she was a physics and astronomy major and was the captain of the dance club and a member of Sigma Pi Sigma and the women’s soccer team.

Weirich resides in Piscataway, N.J., and works for the American Red Cross as national headquarters disaster officer. A 1990 Lycoming graduate, he was a psychology major and manager of the College radio station and participated in the yearbook and theatre.  

The AAEB consists of 32 alumni who are elected to lead and represent current and former students in a mutually beneficial relationship with the College. The board is a diverse group of alumni representing class years, geographic regions, and interests of the College’s alumni community.
