Pittsburgh alumni event includes social hour, baseball and concert

8-6-09

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Pittsburgh’s North Shore was the site of an evening of Lycoming College alumni activities on Aug. 1.  Nearly 30 alumni and guests gathered for a social hour at Finnegan’s Wake near PNC Park, then walked to the stadium to enjoy a Pirates vs. Nationals game and see centerfielder Andrew McCutchen enter the MLB rookie record books as he knocked three home runs out of the park, leading the Pirates to an 11-6 victory.

Several alumni appeared on the Jumbotron as stadium cameras found the group during an inning break. After the game, attendees were treated to a live on-field concert performed by Jo Dee Messina. The Alumni Association thanks Krystal (Ray) ’05 and Ryan ’05 Brooks for helping to organize the event.
