FACULTY AND STAFF: Meet Riana Muller

Riana Ricci Muller holds the prestigious Ysa˙e Medal and Diplome d'Honneur awarded by the Ysa˙e Foundation, Brussels, Belgium, for her World Premiere performance of Eugene Ysa˙e's Violin Concerto No. 8. She was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by Chamber Music America, and has published articles in the "American String Teacher" and the "New York School Music News". She maintains an active performing schedule including chamber music, recitals, and orchestral playing, and has performed on MPR and WNYC radio.

Mrs. Muller received her B.M. and M.M. from Eastman School of Music, and studied violin with Joseph Knitzer, Carroll Glenn, Louis Persinger, and her father, the renowned violinist Ruggiero Ricci. She has been on the faculty at Amarillo College, Texas, and the College of St. Benedict, Minnesota, and has taught in the public schools in Nebraska, Florida, and New York. She is the violinist and the author of the DVDs "Classical Music in the Foreign Language Classes."
