GREETINGS
Megan Crispell, '07
Major: Spanish & French
Special Program: Education
Experience: Studied 1 semester in France & 8 weeks in Ecuador
My name is Megan Crispell and I am from Worcester, New York. I am a junior at Lycoming
majoring in French and Spanish with Education as a special program. One day I hope to become a high school foreign language
teacher. I love the foreign language program at Lycoming because the department is small and personal. The professors are
always available and the small class sizes make it easy to learn. We also do many activities outside of the classroom like
going to French restaurants, a trip to Montreal, and many other fun activities throughout the year. One of the most interesting
things about the language department is the conversation tables in which foreign language students have the opportunity to speak
with native speakers to improve conversation skills and to learn about their culture.
Through Lycoming, I had the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Lille,
France and for 8 weeks in Cuenca, Ecuador. Study abroad was a great experience that not only helped improve my foreign language
skills but also gave me the chance of a lifetime to travel the world.
