For over thirty years Dr. Robert Larson has been sharing sage advice to students interested in pursuing careers in International Studies. His expertise in World History, Politics, and International Relations makes him an ideal coordinator for this program.
Originally from New York City, Dr. Larson received a bachelor's degree from The Citadel in South Carolina and a Ph.D. from The University of Virginia. He is currently Chair of the Lycoming College History Department and has served as coordinator of our International Studies Program for 33 years!
Students describe Professor Larson as friendly, available, and extremely knowledgeable in his field. He is also one of our best teachers and a recipient of the Lycoming Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching. "I could listen to Dr. Larson for hours," mentioned a student in Larson's Contemporary Europe class. "He is an absolutely fabulous teacher and never uses notes."
Dr. Larson's area of expertise focuses on European History from the Renaissance to the Present. He has traveled and studied extensively throughout the European continent. |
