Summer 2005 Projects
  • Single mode fiber expanded to the rest of the campus.
  • Skeath Residence Hall rewired with high-speed Category 6.
  • Redundant Internet service with BGP and additional bandwidth.
  • Server upgrades include new interlibrary loan system, computer science windows server, administrative system, Linux, Windows 2003, and Novell upgrades.
  • Time and Attendance module to be implemented in Human Resources.
  • Preparation for new Datatel Release 18 upgrade administrative system.
  • Computer Lab upgrades in Heim and the Academic Center A3 & A5.
  • Additional instructional media rooms in Heim and the Academic Center.
  • New Web Design for Academic, Admissions, Bookstore pages and implementation of Cascading Style Sheets and Content Management.

Summer 2004 Projects
  • Faculty & Staff E-mail Enhancement: The faculty and staff post office is being migrated to a separate server from MailSRV. This will result in separate servers for student mail, faculty & staff mail, and central mail processing. There will be fewer times that users will be disconnected when the main mail server requires servicing. 5/11/04
  • Campus Apartment Infrastructure: An additional switch is being added to Rich to further segment campus apartments. This will allow more monitoring and control of data of existing houses and those being added in the future. 5/10/04
  • ResNet Wiring: Additional Internet ports are being wired in the residential halls with permanent jacks for an increasing number of residential students scheduled for next academic year. 5/5/04
