Types of Calls

To make the following calls from the College telephone system you must use a TAC number:

  • Calling Card calls (For 800 numbers, there is a $.10 charge per call unless made Pay telephone. It is considerably less expensive to dial direct using the campus Telephone services then using credit cards.).
  • Long distance calls.
  • Local off Campus calls.
  • International calls.
  • All off Campus calls except 911 emergency.

Dialing Instructions

When pressing # key+9, you will hear a "steady tone"; continue to enter your TAC# and phone number.

Press # key + 9 + TAC + 9 + 011 + Country Code + City Code + Local number (Dial Direct)
Press # key + 9 + TAC + 9 + Follow dialing procedures on back of calling card.


Press # key + 9 + 9 + 7 digits + TAC (immediately after the 7 digits)
Press # key + 9 + 9 + 1 + 7 digits + TAC (immediately after the 7 digits)

*A MONEY SAVING NOTE to the caller: TAC calls dialed direct are the most inexpensive way to call.
