Credit Limit

The credit limit will be individually specified on a per month basis, as long as the student is in good credit standing with the College. When this amount has been accrued, the College has the right to discontinue the long distance service until payment and any.

Penalty charges are made in full. If full payment is not made within a specified time, the long distance service may be terminated and not reinstated for the balance of the academic year.

The College will set a credit limit of $200.00 to help you manage your calling budget or the applicant may specify a lower limit by notifying the Telecommunications Office at 4074 in Academic Center, SL1, Room A2. On the first working day after you have exceeded that limit, your T.A.C. will be deactivated. Your T.A.C. will be automatically reactivated at the beginning of a new billing period unless the Telecommunications Office is notified or you may have it reactivated by calling the office.

Be aware however, that once you have had your account reactivated during any month, we will no longer be monitoring your account for that month and we will assume no further responsibility for charges incurred during that billing period.

Changes in your credit limit can only take place at the start of a billing period. You may lower or change your limit for the following month by calling the Telecommunication Office during the last week of the preceding month. Credit Limits may only be raised or lowered in increments of $25.00. (Minimum limit $25.00) The Credit Limit only includes usage of local and long distance calls.

A Credit Limit Report is generated daily (Monday through Friday) indicating who has reached their requested limit. (Calls made after midnight go on the next day's report.) The Credit Limit Report is used in Telecommunications to manually intervene into the system and deactivate those student telephone numbers where the credit limit has been exceeded. Since the system does not automatically close off your telephone when your credit limit is reached, it is possible for you to exceed this limit especially on weekends) due to the report not being processed until Monday A.M. Please be advised that credit limit checks are checked during fall and spring semesters with the exception of Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and during the completion of the monthly billing run.

After the current month's phone bills have been processed, the telecommunications office will automatically reactivate your account for the following month, if you had not notified the telecommunications office to the contrary.
