EDUCATION HONOR SOCIETY

       ———KAPPA DELTA PI NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

       Students may be elected to the honor society after being enrolled in at least 4 education-related courses. New members must have an overall GPA of 3.25. Our members are juniors and seniors on campus.

Lycoming College Chapter (Tau Chi)

       Our chapter co-sponsors several activities with the Student Education Association. This year we helped build the prize winning Homecoming Float and served as guides for the Pennsylvania Department of Education review of the college Education Department.

       Our informational programs included a session about the state certification requirements and the NTE testing program.

       Back in April 2003, we initiated 40 new members, the largest group in recent memory!

       Beginning in Fall 2005, new members who were juniors will be taking leadership roles.. We are looking forward to an exciting and active year.

       This year, we were happy to see many of our graduating seniors honored at the Honors Convocation for the whole campus. They represented the Education Department well.
