SUGGESTED PROGRAM FOR ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
The teacher education program at Lycoming College brings together a strong liberal arts emphasis, intensive study in an academic major, a carefully planned sequence of professional education courses, and extensive field experiences in the public schools. The best teachers are those who are knowledgeable about areas other than their specialty. All students, even those in elementary education, have a substantive major.
