Rachael Hungerford Department Chair Ed. D. University of Massachusetts/Amherst B.S., State University of New York at Plattsburgh Reading, Writing and Children's Literature Specialist
As the senior member of her department, Dr. Hungerford has been helping Lycoming students become master teachers for 17 years. She holds the rank of Assistant Professor of Education and serves as Chair of the Education Department. Responsible for the Elementary Teacher Certification program, Rachael teaches such courses as Teaching of Reading, Language Arts, and Children's Literature. She also conducts professional development workshops in journaling, and memoirs for teachers. In addition to her work on campus, Dr. Hungerford is involved in the local children's literacy program.
