Professor Knapp is the primary instructor for the Corporate Communication track in the Communication Department at Lycoming. In addition to these courses, she also teaches most of the Public Speaking courses offered by the department.
Professor Knapp became a member of her first Communication association as an undergraduate student, and remains very active in both regional and national associations. She is currently the Chair of the Nonverbal Communication division of the Eastern Communication Association. Professor Knapp has presented many competitive research papers at both regional and national conventions, and has been awarded a top paper honor from the Instructional Communication division of the Eastern Communication Association. She is currently finishing work on her Doctoral dissertation, which examines the affect of student-instructor out-of-class communication on instructor motivation and job satisfaction.
Originally from Western New York, Professor Knapp enjoys music, reading, and sports. In the fall, you can often find her at a local sports bar cheering-on the Buffalo Bills, remaining a fan through the good times and the much more frequent bad times.
