Ogurcak is director of the Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum in South Williamsport, a challenge she accepted in January 2005. Prior to thatshe was employed by the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, a daily newspaper for nearly 28 years. During that time she reported for the area news, court, police and fire, education and feature departments. She served as Lifestyle editor for 10 years.

At Lycoming, she has taught classes in introductory news writing, speech and public relations. Under her direction, the Lycourier expanded from a tabloid to a broadsheet design. The newspaper and its staff have won several awards for content and design.
