Lynn Estomin, Chair, Associate Professor of Art

Lynn Estomin teaches graphic design, digital imaging, web design, and interactive media. She received her BA from Antioch College and her MFA from the University of Cincinnati. Her award-winning documentaries have been screened at film festivals internationally and broadcast nationally on PBS. Estomin exhibits her photography and digital images nationally.

Amy Golahny, Professor of Art History

Amy Golahny teaches surveys, specialized courses and advanced seminars in art history. She holds degrees from Brandeis University (BA), Williams College (MA), and Columbia University (PhD). Dr. Golahny publishes extensively on Rembrandt and related subjects.

Seth Goodman, Visiting Assitant Professor of Art

Seth Goodman teaches painting, drawing, two-dimensional design and color theory.  He received his BFA from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and his MFA from Towson University. Goodman exhibits his paintings, drawings and mixed media work nationally

Roger Shipley, Professor Emeritus of Art

Roger Shipley teaches printmaking. Roger studied painting at the Cleveland Art Institute and the American School in Fontainebleau, France. He received his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Shipley exhibits his painting, drawing, prints and sculpture nationally.

O. Gustavo Plascencia, Visiting Assistant Professor of Art

Gustavo Plascencia teaches Black/White, Color and Studio Photography. Plascencia received his MFA from University of Colorado. His work deals with identity in cultural and social environments, commenting on acculturation, religion, gender and social constrains. He exhibits his work internationally.

Howard Tran, Assistant Professor of Art

Howard Tran teaches sculpture, drawing, figure modeling and ceramics. He received his MFA in sculpture from Boston University. Tran exhibits his sculpture, painting and mixed media work nationally.

FACILITIES

The Fine Arts Center has large painting, drawing and figure modeling studios with twenty-foot ceilings and abundant north light. Art history classes, the art colloquium, and visiting artist programs are held in our lecture hall. The printmaking studio is well equipped for etching, lithography and silk-screen. The large sculpture studios include the foundry, ceramics studio and wood shop. The photography area includes two large black and white darkrooms, alternative process darkroom and studio space. Graphic design, digital imaging, archival digital printing, web design and interactive media are taught using state of the art hardware and software in our digital graphics lab.
