Sarah Bierly

My work has been inspired by things both natural and organic.  Where I live, nature is always at my fingertips.  Forests, fields and flowers surround my home.  Nature is my inspiration for everything that I am as an artist.  It inspires my colors and textures as well as the subject.  It is my ultimate muse.  The pieces I am showing are very different than anything I have done before.  I feel I have found my niche as an artist.  I allowed myself and my artwork to become and feel free by experimenting with different techniques and mediums such as watercolors and collage.  The freshness of the watercolors and the intensity of the collage reflect the feminine but sometimes aggressiveness of nature.
