Re-la-tion-ship: noun
2:  the relation connecting or binding
3: a state of affairs existing between those having relations

As a person, you are surrounded and immersed in relationships with other people all the time; whether it is with someone you have known your entire life or the person that sat beside you on the bus today. Relationships are constantly changing, forming and molding.

Do you remember the toy from childhood past, where you choose a top, middle and bottom to form a figure? You could rotate the boxes to create a new and interesting character or you could go with the ordinary, lining the boxes to create what was already there.

The version of the childhood toy that I have created has a different concept. You cannot line up the boxes of pairs to create a complete set - no three boxes match perfectly. The images themselves are imperfect; they are distorted, stretched and blurred creating numerous imperfections. The reason for this is the concept of a “perfect” relationship, since no relationship is perfect whether your relationship is with your family, friends, lover or even yourself. You may strive for perfection, believe that you have it or ignore it all together. The reality is that nothing is perfect, but once you let go of the concept of “perfection” you can enjoy all the “imperfections” of life!
